Who we are
Speech Act Studio is an independent software development studio. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why we handle it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If you have a question about anything below, write to support@speechactstudio.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website. Applications we publish on the App Store, on Google Play or elsewhere are covered by their own privacy policies, which are listed on each application’s store page and inside the application itself. Where we build software for a client, that client is the controller of the data in their product and their own policy applies.
Information we collect
- Messages you send us. If you email the studio, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to write.
- Standard server records. Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, the browser type and the page requested. These records exist for security, error diagnosis and reliability.
This website has no contact form, no account system and no advertising. We do not ask you for payment details on this site.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run third party analytics or advertising profiling. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so a request for the font files reaches Google when a page loads.
How we use the information
- To read and reply to enquiries, and to carry out work you ask us to do.
- To keep the website available, secure and working correctly.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiries to build marketing lists.
Who else sees it
We share personal information only with the service providers we need in order to operate, for example our email provider and our website hosting provider, and only to the extent that they need it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. These providers may process data outside your country, and we rely on their standard data protection terms when they do.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while a project or enquiry is live and for as long as we need it for our records, then deleted. Technical server records are short lived and are kept only for the period our hosting provider retains them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Write to support@speechactstudio.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
